Booking, step by step

What to Expect

How booking works, from the first email to the last song, and what Steven takes care of along the way.

The booking journey

  1. Send your date

Send the date, venue and occasion through the booking form. Steven answers every inquiry himself, usually the same day.

  2. Clarifying questions

Steven will reach out with questions about your event so the music matches what you have in mind — the room, the timing, the guests, and the songs that matter to you.

I prioritize seamless communication, both before and after your event. I can be reached at any time in any way you like. Whether you prefer text, email, or calls, I adapt to your preferences, ensuring clarity and prompt responses.

  3. Your quote

Once he understands the event, he sends a quote covering the performance time and format you need.

  4. Hold the date

A simple agreement and a deposit reserve the date.

  5. Send songs any time

Requests and updates are welcome from the moment you book. Steven will also check in a few days beforehand to confirm the final details.

If you want to start with some ambient background music and later transition into sing-a-longs with guests, this is where I shine. Need someone to play that song that only you and your loved ones know? I'll learn it in advance of the event and play it during your event. With an expansive repertoire that spans every genre, decade, and vibe, I am here to make your event enjoyable and the behind-the-scenes logistics a breeze.

  6. Equipment

Steven brings his own professional sound system. A piano shell is available on request, and he can facilitate the delivery of an acoustic piano.

  7. On the day

He arrives ahead of schedule so everything is set up and ready before guests arrive, handles his own breakdown, and coordinates with your planner, photographer or other vendors so the evening runs seamlessly.

For most events, expect uninterrupted music with short breaks, usually only after every 90 minutes or so of playing (note that most musicians play 45 minutes and then take a 15-minute break). I normally do not follow that “standard,” and this ensures that your event remains lively and melodious. When on a short break, I am happy to play pre-recorded music so you have wall-to-wall music during your event.

Day-of adjustments? No problem. I pride myself on being adaptable catering to on-the-spot changes or special requests. Thus ensuring the event's flow remains undisturbed. I happily “go with the flow.”

  8. Discretion

For those requiring an additional layer of confidentiality, especially high-profile clients, I'm comfortable and familiar with and happily sign NDAs. Discretion and your privacy are of the highest importance to me, for all my clients, celebrity or not.

  9. Afterward

A follow-up note, plus any recordings or photos you asked for.

Whether you're an individual, event planner, the personal assistant to a celebrity, or representing a corporation, you can expect a harmonious partnership underlined by professionalism and a personal touch catering to you and/or your client's needs.
